Ten Pages: A Unique Approach to Screenplay Analysis
Here's how it works:
You send me (Rob Gregory-Browne) your screenplay, along with the low, low fee of $35. This is what I promise in return:
I will read the first ten pages of your script. If those ten pages are compelling enough to keep me going, I will read the next ten pages. If the next ten pages keep me interested, I will read the next ten and the next ten and so on until the script is finished.
In other words, I'll be functioning exactly like the studio exec or producer or agent who, trust me, has no real interest in reading your work (it's true!). If I'm not compelled to read on at any point, I will stop. But rather than chuck your script into the reject pile, I'll do something no studio exec or producer or agent would ever do:
I'll tell you why I stopped. In fact, I'll give you a complete analysis of the pages I've read, explaining what went wrong, where it went wrong, why it went wrong -- and, most importantly -- how to fix it.
For a mere fraction of the cost of most screenplay critiques, you can potentially get a full analysis of your script. And, even better, if the script is so compelling and well written that I can't put it down, I will send it on to my own literary representatives with a strong recommendation.
